Sorry about not posting. Real life worms its way into the blogsphere on many occasions. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten this space.
The good news is that I’m still writing!

The good news is that I’m still writing!
Saturdays have been busy for me for some time now.
Today, for example: after breakfast, get the car’s oil changed, do some grocery shopping, being taxi for someone else… and that’s just the start.
I was going to try and work on my novel, but guess who shows up wanting to help? My cat, of course.
She started out as a feral cat, but somehow adopted me. Only when it’s cold will she willingly get on my lap. During the summer she turns her nose up at me.
This is what it’s like living with a four footed furry child. They love you when you bring food, but that’s about it, unless you can do something for them.
Sometimes it is fascinating to see their primitive thought processes in motion.
She won’t like me when I force her off my lap. She’ll have to just get over it .
The hardest thing is getting back into a habit I had. My original goal was to write around 700 words per day. I’ve been having problems because of other things that needed to be done.
Finishing classes and graduating.
Critiquing work from my writing group.
And then there was moving. Though for a time I had no tv and internet. I got a butt load of writing done. Maybe I should turn the radio and tv off on the weekends. I might get more writing done.
Don’t you just hate it when everything is going fine and then a program forces you to update to their “new and improved” versions? Most of the time it’s not new and improved. It’s more like they don’t want to deal with the old version and think they know best.
Take for instance Windows Live Mail. I’ve used this particular mail client for several years. It’s been handy in that it was free and I could have a calender in front of me at all times to keep me reminded of what’s coming up. Microsoft got rid of that, along with their messenger. They combined their messenger with skype (I’ve got a friend who’s been complaining a lot telling them that it’s cumbersome and difficult to deal with.
With Windows Live Mail not available anymore I had to pull up my 2007 version of outlook. It took me at least two days to get that thing up and running. As of right now it’s finally working. I still don’t like how the calender is not right there infront of me, though it does have one.
I guess what I’m really doing is whining that things have changed and are forever changing.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that it’ll be a bit before I post again. I’m busy packing and moving. Movers are coming tomorrow and internet will be hooked up tomorrow afternoon.
